Westin St. Francis San Francisco, Ca This historic San Francisco hotel is located near Union Square with great shopping and restaurants right around the corner. This is one of my favorite San Francisco hotels. I particularly like the bar. It�s known as the Compass Rose room, where the drinks are strong, and there is sometimes a small jazz trio playing. Some of the rooms are more updated than others, so ask to stay in the newest tower. There are also some good discounts available since tourism and conferences have been down in the Bay Area for the last couple of years. So, if you are looking for a great California vacation and a cheap San Francisco hotel, do your research and you will find a great deal! San Francsico Hotel Clifts The Clift Hotel in San Francisco California is one of my favorite hotels. The rooms used to be larger, which I enjoyed more, but after the recent remodel, the rest of the hotel has picked up while the rooms feel like they were cut by 1/3. The best part about the Clift Hotel is the Redwood Room. The Redwood Room is a bar that is entirely constructed out of a single redwood tree. It�s one of the most magnificent rooms I�ve ever seen. The drinks are good, but like the rest of San Francisco, they are expensive. If you are looking for a great deal or a discount for the Clift, call the hotel and ask for who is offering the best deal.
